Modi address Panchayat Mahasammelan, meets his mother in Gujarat
National Desk, 12 March, 2022: On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a meeting at the Gujarat Panchayat Mahasammelan as part of his two-day visit to the state.
While speaking at the meeting he said that “Nothing symbolizes the strength of Indian democracy more than fact of one and half lakh panchayat representatives deliberating together.”
Later in the day he is also scheduled to inaugurate the Rashtriya Raksha University in Gandhinagar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi begin his two-day visit to the state by holding a massive roadshow in Ahmedabad on Friday. Thousands of his supporters and party workers turned up to greet and welcome him on the occasion.
Apart from the participating in the roadshow, Modi also met his mother Heeraben Modi at her residence on Friday. He took her blessings and also had lunch with her.
