Zelensky says port city Odessa could be bombed soon, asks Russians to end their silence and speak for peace
Global Desk, 07 March, 2022: On Sunday, the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Russian troops are likely to target Odessa and they are preparing to bomb the port city at any moment.
Saying that the people of Russia have always received warmth and love whenever they have visited the city, if artillery bombs are dropped, than Russia will be considered to have committed a historical war crime.
Also addressing in the Russian language, he further stated that people of Ukraine needs peace, and urged the Russian citizens to fight for the peace not just for Ukraine, but also for their own freedom.
He added that if Russians remain silent now than only poverty will speak for them in the future.
Zelensky said these words while addressing himself through a Facebook post.
Earlier, the president of Ukraine had also condemned NATOs decision not to order a no-fly zone over Ukraine, and said that NATO and the western countries would be responsible for further deaths in the country.
