‘Aparupa’, a noted women’s social organization with 54,000 members in Assam to honour women achievers in its annual meet

Guwahati: ‘Aparupa’, a great women`s organization of about 54 thousand women, hailing from the whole of the country and abroad, is holding its annual meet at Guwahati on 8th March from 1.00pm in the premises of Rangamancha in Rukminigaon, Guwahati, with colourful fanfare.
Aparupa is a multidimensional body with enormity of social and humanitarian activities. In a press release, Runa Laila, the President and secretary of the organization stated that in the meet many achiever and socially distinguished women will be awarded in recognition of their social, cultural, literary, and humanitarian excellences.
The organization, has also stated that its activities inter alia include helping women to be self-dependent, helping the flood victims, distribution of food and clothes to the destitute, arranging the marriages of divorcee women, helping of women in getting suitable engagement for survival and other humanitarian programs.
The press note also says that its journal titled Aparupa will also be released on the day.
