Sports Desk: World number one Novak Djokovic has stated that he is willing to pay the price of not participating in tournaments like the French Open and Wimbledon, should he be forced to be jabbed with the COVID 19 vaccine.
The Serbian tennis legend said this during an interview with the BBC.
He also stated that he is never against vaccination, and he understands how everyone around the globe is putting effort to end this pandemic. However, he also believes that people have their right over their bodies, and they should be allowed to have the personal freedom to choose what they wish to put in it.
Additionally, he also added that he is hopeful that the vaccination rules in certain tournaments would change, and he can play for many more years.
Earlier last month, the 34-year-old was deported from Australia when he landed in the country to take part in the Australian Open without fulfilling the vaccination requirements laid down by its government.
