Singer Adele thanks her son after becoming the Artist of the Year at BRIT Awards
Entertainment Desk: British singing sensation Adele hogged the spotlight at the BRIT Awards 2022 after cinching the top awards in this year’s edition held in London.
Apart from grabbing the Artist of the Year award, the 33-year-old singing superstar’s song “Easy on Me” became the best song of the year.
Similarly, her album titled “30” won the Album of the Year award.
Reacting to these accolades, Adele said that the album was not just a solo journey. “The album was all of our journey, not just mine,” she said.

She specially dedicated her achievement to her little son Angelo. She said that her son has been kind, gracious and patient with her over the years, and this day would not have been possible without his support.
Adele also thanked her ex-husband Simon Konecki with whom she parted ways not long time ago.
Alternatively, she also made a live performance sitting on a piano and sang the song “I Drink Wine” from “30”.
Among others, Ed Sheeran became the Songwriter of the Year. Besides, Olivia Rodrigo’s song “Good for you” won the international song of the year. Dua Lipa was named the British Pop artist. While, Billie Eilish was awarded for being the best international artist of the year.
The BRIT Award is an annual music award in Britain, which is regarded to be equal to the Grammys.
