Assam: CM`s Displeasure with SP`s Opinions

0 208

Anand Mishra, the superintendent of police, Nagoan, is asked to move out of Nagoan, for his undesirable comments on the enquiry report on the shoot-out over one student leader, Kirtikamal Bora, submitted by the additional Chief Secretary to the government of Assam over the incident of shoot-out.

The home ministry of the government, headed by the Chief Minister himself, ordered an one-man enquiry by Paban Kumar Barthakur over the incident of police shoot-out by the SI of the police station. The SI has already been put under suspension. The Additional Chief Secretary in his report has also ordered for the security of the witnesses of the case.

Being displeased with the SP`s remarks over the Additional CS`s report, the Home Ministry has asked the SP to leave Nagoan and join the head office of the DGP at Guwahati.

Such a situation has unfurled the administrative character of the state police administration. It is also a fact that if police official like Anand Mishra has to incur the displeasure of the government for being tough with the drug traders it may also have negative impact on the work culture of the police force.
